Mirza Tarequl Qader
Eminent journalist, public relations expert, writer and researcher Mirza Tarequl Qader is the founder and Executive Director of BIJEM. A man with creative vision and vibrant dynamism, Mirza Tareq earned his Honour's and Masters Degrees (first batch) from Department of Mass Communication and Journalism at Dhaka University.
So far he has published innumerable write ups on mass communication, media, culture and education in the leading dailies and weeklies. A big volume of research articles has been published from India as well. His widely acclaimed research book of 737 pages 'Bangladesher Chalachchitro Shilpo' (The Film Industry of Bangladesh) was published by Bangla Academy- country's central intellectual authority on Bangla language, literature and culture. 'Jonoshongjog O Prokashana' (pages 520) is his edited book which is the first volume on public relations in this country.His third book titled "Rajnitite Jonoshongjog: Boktritar Ritynity O Prochar Koushol".
Mirza Tareq is also very well-known as a skilled organizer. At present he is the elected President of Bangladesh Public Relations Association (BPRA) and Former President of Editing and Publication Association of Bangladesh (EPAB). He is a member of National Press Club, Chairman, Board of Editors of 'The Monthly Augraj' and Advisor of different social and educational organizations. He is also the Executive Chairman of National Media Foundation and BIJEM Foundation. Mirza Tareq has been honored by a lot of awards for his research works including the 'Tista-Torsa Award' from West Bengal, India.
