Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism (Under National University): |
As part of its commitment for quality education and training in the overall aspects of journalism, BIJEM introduced a 1-year Post Graduate Diploma Course in Journalism from 2004-05 academic year under the National University.
Besides, imparting academic knowledge on the students, this course aims at coordinating multidimensional information on the subject matter and create a research based professional environment.
It should be noted that initiating this type of long-term academic course was one of the prime objective of BIJEM at the time of its inception. BIJEM believes that this post graduate Diploma Course in Journalism would definitely contribute to the expansion of journalistic education and create job opportunities for the learners.
Already the first batch (35 students) has completed the final examination under the National University and hundred percent (100 %) students obtained second class. Undoubtedly this result is a success of BIJEM. The next batch of Diploma will be started September, 2009.
